New Circle Films is a film production startup with a focus on documentaries. I started off as a Visual Designer when working on my first project with them and ended up as the Lead Designer when working on my second project. 

Below are brief overviews of all the projects I worked on while at New Circle Films.

Miles to Go Before She Sleeps is a documentary film about Yang Ai Yun, an idealistic retired schoolteacher, on a mission to stop the slaughtering of dogs in provinces where canine consumption is glorified as a cultural tradition. While a contentious animal protection law makes its way through the courts, she investigates with steely determination why countless pets are disappearing from their homes.

My role as the Visual Designer was to design a brand and visual identity that could merge animal welfare advocacy with the film's unique tones and emotions. Our team utilized this visual identity in the film's website and social media, where I provided key art and layout templates for both. I also created the font, "miles to go" on the poster! :D

My role as the Lead Designer was to design and develop the visual identity of New Circle Films and build out a website for them. I built the site on Webflow and tried to implement as much no-code design as possible so that updating the site was as straightforward as possible.
